Mobile-first companion to learn the Chinese you actually need on the ground. Spaced repetition, immersive scenarios in real streets and tea houses, character tracing, no account, no backend. Everything lives on the device.
Context
Travel-focused Chinese learning is poorly served by generic apps. Sinora Learn picks travel-survival vocabulary and trains it through scenes you would actually live: ordering tea, hailing a taxi in Chengdu, haggling at a market.
Next.jsEngineering decisions
pnpm monorepo splitting the SRS engine, content datasets and UI primitives. Persistence runs on IndexedDB with a localStorage fallback. ts-fsrs powers the spaced repetition, hanzi-writer handles tracing, pinyin-pro the phonetics. The whole app installs as a PWA.
